Great Pyrenees Livestock Dogs

It's a wonderful sight to watch our Great Pyrenees livestock dogs with the sheep and goat herds, doing what God made them to do.  They're outstanding guardians, working well in teams of two to three, each "taking their shift" around the clock through the day and night.

Great Pyrenees are at home in a pasture with a herd, and also make great family dogs (many families say their kids were raised by their Pyrenees).  Our male, Dunee, is a large bodied pure bred Pyrenees, is very friendly with the family, and is especially gentle with baby lambs and goats (and toddlers too!), starting from birth.  Our females are Eirwyn, Trudi, Kale and Bella.  Eirwyn, our alpha female, and Trudi and Bella are pure bred Pyrenees with gentle and nurturing personalities.  Kale is mostly Pyrenees with a little Anatolian Shepherd (another livestock dog breed), so she has the build and great traits of Pyrenees with the short hair of an Anatolian.  Kale and Trudi are alert and social, and like Dunee and Eirwyn, happy to guard her herd.  Bella recently joined the herd, and is settling into her guardian and mothering roles nicely.  We have puppies available several times a year from each of the females.  Our puppies are raised with our sheep and goats, learning their job as working livestock dogs from their parents.
